After taking its initial steps in business, in 1982 Metalleghe became involved in the processing of ferroalloys, the production of carbon based recarburizers and ferroalloy briquettes for the foundry industry. Local and international markets have an ever-growing need for readily available material to produce high quality steel. The research and attention with which Metalleghe sources suitable materials, all analyzed by our laboratories, has guaranteed steel mills and foundries a supply of unvarying quality over many years. Metalleghe’s catalogue offers a range of products which is both complete and extensive.
The company
The headquarters, sales offices and factory are situated in Flero (Brescia), occupying a total area of 60.000 square meters. From these offices, a critical role is played by our analysts: professionals who study the global commodity markets employing advanced tools, evaluating market risks and opportunities in order to capitalize on opportunities, manage price volatility and develop profitable business for themselves and customers.
Technological investments play a fundamental role, as they are aimed at guaranteeing the highest quality of production and on-time delivery.
The plant is equipped with a drying-sieving line, a crushing and granulometric selection line, an automatic bagging plant and storage silos.
The company
Metalleghe has a unique laboratory in Europe, that is able to autonomously perform chemical and physical analysis on all purchased materials, both incoming and outgoing, providing its customers with a reliable service and conformant products.
The laboratory has a series of crushers and mills for grinding and pulverizing a wide range of products, from the softest coals to the toughest ferroalloys.
The equipment consists of a series of jaw crushers, hammer mills, ring mills, all equipped with tungsten carbide supports, to ensure better performance and reduce any pollution during the milling.

In 2012, Metalleghe created RS Silicon. Built from scratch, the plant is an amalgam of technology and knowhow aimed at respect for the environment and productivity. RS Silicon produces Silicon Metal and Silica Fume in two production units with: 4 SAF (Submerged Arc Furnace); a production volume of over 30,000 tons of silicon metal per year; 50 MW of total installed power and a total of 310 employees. The Group's choice to invest in the production of Silicon Metal and Silica Fume in Bosnia proved to be strategic and the very high-quality of the products immediately received a positive response from companies across Europe.

Eurometa has been active since 1991 in Chambéry, in Savoy, where it produces ferroalloy briquettes (FeSi- SiC-FeMn-FeP-FeCr) for iron foundries. The company also distributes the recaburizers and ferroalloys produced and marketed by Metalleghe Spa in the French market. With a production capacity of 25 tons / hour, Eurometa is one of the leading European companies in the sector. Through an advanced information system, the company is connected to customers, so as to collect and store specific needs, and provide each one with the right type of product at exactly the right time, whether they are recaburizers and ferroalloys produced in France by Eurometa or by Metalleghe in Italy.

Esart is a foundry that has been making copper castings with a maximum weight of 5 metric tons since 1982. The production in characterized by excellent levels of quality, thanks to the highly competent staff, the production process, which is carried out in a custom-made plant and totally harmonized, and to the meticulous screening of raw materials and finished products. Esart performs all welding, assembly and mechanical finishing operations.

Cuprocast is a copper foundry capable of both sand and resin casting. Located in Băileşti, Romania, it was created in response to the continuous growth of Esart Foundry. In Băileşti, an important cast iron foundry was in operation until a few years ago. The Romanian city therefore proved to be an excellent location for a production unit, providing an abundance of expert technicians and workers, all of whom were further trained in Esart for 6 months and who today manage production almost entirely independently. However, Esart maintains constant control via supervision and routine tests. Cuprocast is not just a foundry. Inside there is also an efficient welding department and a well-equipped mechanical workshop capable of finishing all the castings produced to design specification.
